Community members are reminded that crews building the first section of the Wekiva Parkway are intermittently burning debris and will continue the activity over the next couple of months. The crews working for the Florida Department of Transportation have been clearing the parkway corridor from County Road (CR) 435 (Mt. Plymouth Road), north of Haas Road, to State Road (SR) 46 near Old McDonald Road. The confined, on-site burns are being conducted in coordination with the Florida Forest Service.
