The Florida Department of Transportation's consultant, GAI Consultants, on April 30, 2013 kicked off design of Wekiva Parkway Section 6, from west of Old McDonald Road in Lake County to east of Wekiva River Road in Seminole County. This project will include designing a new bridge over the Wekiva River.
