ORLANDO _ The Central Florida Expressway Authority on Oct. 20, 2015 opened bids from contractors seeking to build Wekiva Parkway Section 2B (429-204), also known as the systems interchange. Southland Construction was the apparent low bidder at $79.6 million. The multi-tiered, systems interchange will be built northwest of Haas-Ondich Road and Plymouth Sorrento Road in Orange County. Construction is scheduled to begin in January of 2016.
