Construction on the first part of the Wekiva Parkway -- Sections 4A & 4B -- is making great progress. Crews working for the Florida Department of Transportation have paved the south end near County Road 435 / Mount Plymouth Road, and are about 70 percent finished driving concrete pile for a floodplain bridge in the middle of the section. Drainage and embankment work are wrapping up, and more intensive activity is expected on the SR 46 end in late summer 2014.
