(APOPKA, FL) – Crews are scheduled through September 30 to route northbound Wekiva Parkway (State Road 429) traffic onto the outside shoulder south of Kelly Park Road. The lane closures are needed while crews continue to fix a depression caused by Hurricane Irma.

SR 429 northbound traffic by this weekend should be able to move onto the outside travel lane. Work will continue for another couple of weeks after that to repair the depression in the inside lanes, as well as to rebuild and repave the roadway.

Bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances could delay or prolong work. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area for their safety and that of the work crews.
