The Florida Department of Transportation has received and opened bids from contractors hoping to build Wekiva Parkway Section 5. Halifax Paving is the apparent low bidder on the non-tolled segment. The firm submitted a cost of $9.88 million to realign County Road 46A out of the Seminole State Forest to reduce collisions between vehicles and wildlife. Work is scheduled to begin this summer.
