The Florida Department of Transportation on March 21, 2016 advertised for bids from design firms for Wekiva Parkway Section 7B. This  last Wekiva Parkway section to begin design will involve non-tolled road improvements along State Road 46 from west of Center Road to west of Interstate 4. Bids are due April 4, 2016. Design is slated to begin in September of 2016.
