Section 7A: New Eastbound Lane to Open on S.R. 46 in Seminole County

August 25, 2021

Section 7A of the Wekiva Parkway (State Road (S.R.) 429) project will move another step closer to its final configuration this week as traffic will be shifted to the newly constructed eastbound lane on S.R. 46.

The opening of the newly constructed eastbound lane, which is about 1 mile in length, will create improved access to homes and businesses on the south side of S.R. 46.

Traffic will be shifted to the new eastbound S.R. 46 lane from east of Maureen Drive to North Orange Avenue as early as 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25. Additionally, a new roundabout at Glade View Drive will be partially opened to allow for local access. A temporary U-turn lane just east of North Orange Avenue will also be opened to further enhance local property access.

Motorists are reminded to drive alert and follow posted signage.

Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other circumstances.
